There were a few shocks and surprises on Thursday night as we said goodbye to some fan favourites in the second semi-final of ESC 2021. Unlike on Tuesday night, the ten qualifiers were drawn into their halves almost immediately after the show – presumably to make things as Covid-secure as possible in light of recent events – and they are as follows:
FIRST HALF
Albania
Serbia
Portugal
Iceland
Switzerland
Greece
SECOND HALF
Bulgaria
Moldova
San Marino
Finland
In case you missed it, this is how they were announced during the show:
Then it was over to the producers to determine the final running order – which they did relatively quickly, teasing the opener and closer (Cyprus and San Marino) before feeding us the whole thing at around 01:15 CEST.
This is how the songs will line up on Saturday night:
1. Cyprus 2. Albania 3. Israel 4. Belgium 5. Russia 6. Malta 7. Portugal 8. Serbia 9. United Kingdom |
10. Greece 11. Switzerland 12. Iceland 13. Spain 14. Moldova 15. Germany 16. Finland 17. Bulgaria 18. Lithuania |
19. Ukraine 20. France 21. Azerbaijan 22. Norway 23. The Netherlands 24. Italy 25. Sweden 26. San Marino |
And your escgo! team will be along tomorrow to analyse the draw a bit and see what we make of it all. Catch you then!
