We’re back at Eurovision – at least virtually! As of tomorrow morning, we at escgo.com will be live-blogging “from” the rehearsals, as we’re joining the very first Online Press Centre in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. It’s real – and we’re in: The platform is host to 1,000 accredited journalists, while only 500 journalists are allowed in the real-world press centre in Rotterdam, as a reasonable measure to ensure a safe contest.
So what does this mean?
We will have the privilege of watching every rehearsal in full length live via the internet, so we can blog about them and get our insights freshly onto your screens over the course of the day.
But not only this, we’re also going to share plenty of interesting information from inside the virtual bubble over the next two weeks, as well as our usual longer more analytical posts. Having covered the Eurovision Song Contest live on-site on eight occasions so far since 2010, we’re curious ourselves as to how this different virtual experience will turn out.
