This evening the 2016 edition of our ChatVote event reaches its climax with the grand final, live in our #esc chat from 21:00 CET!
What exactly happens tonight?
The event will begin with us watching a quick reprise of our 26 finalists. Then – in a NEW feature for this year – a live “televoting” poll will open for five minutes. The link will be shared exclusively in the chat. Anyone who is present can “televote” as many times as they want (and can manage!) within the five-minute period. The televotes will be converted into points and will make up 50% of tonight’s final result.
We will then progress to the traditional presentation of the jury votes (which account for the other 50%). Our regular chatters have been submitting their votes in ESC-style (12-10-8…) all week long – and this is their time to shine, reading out their votes in front of the world while our live-streamed video scoreboard (another NEW feature!) updates after each jury.
Finally, in the grand climax to the show, we will broadcast a live stream of the all-important televoting scores. This will give us the final result and the winner of ChatVote 2016 – as well as hopefully replicating some of the excitement of the new Eurovision Song Contest voting presentation!
For those of you who submitted jury votes, you can see the order of presentation for the juries below. Whether you have jury votes to read out or not, please do join us in the chat tonight at 21:00 CET – anyone can vote in the televote, and your votes could make all the difference!
