It’s a holi-holiday, and we all have a headache.
Last night’s party at Euroclub was quite… different. Judged by friends’ comments about their own state of wellbeing (or not), it might have been a buzzing, heavy party, but was it?
Euroclub 2013 is still quite young, but still, there was no real Euro-Disco-Feeling emerging, with the dancefloor remaining quite empty for the most parts of the night. As Martin said before in today’s rehearsal live blog, it was – at least – a quite Bombo-heavy night, and now we’re back to the place after ca. 4 hours of sleep (on my side, that is).
Before, we have been at the Euro Fan Café, and I must agree, that the concept they use for it this year is – excuse me – bloody damn great. They had Despina Olympiou on the chat couch yesterday night, and whatever I wrote in my review about Cyprus, the singer is absolutely likeable. Same goes for Estonia, the Swedish version opened the song up to me, and Birgit – as can be seen in our interview with her – is a lovable young lady.
Back to the chat show concept of the Euro Fan Café – it’s really well run. The host does a professional job and manages to create an intimate atmosphere with the artist and the audience. If you haven’t checked this on your list yet, this show is a must do while in Malmö – and I wasn’t a lot interested in the Cypriot singer in advance.

I have to agree with Felix about the set up of the EuroFan Cafe, it’s a lovely venue, the drinks are cheap (for Sweden anyway), and the Talk Show is a really nice way to get to know some of the artists more personally. They are having the same format all this week – tonight is Zlata from Ukraine, which I am gutted to be missing as I’ll be heading off to report on the goings on at the San Marino party, which starts here in EuroClub at 2030.
EuroClub in the evenings is still in it’s infancy, but we did our best to keep the party alive by spending the majority of the evening on the dancefloor, dancing to the usual Eurovision and Melodifestivalen classics, and despite not actually winning the Norwegian final, I think we have heard Bombo more than anything else!
