You might have heard it on our social media already, but the escgo! team will not be live in Stockholm for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Since 2010, we have covered the competition directly from the host cities and the heart of the press centre, but personal reasons mean that – unfortunately – our small but perfectly formed team can’t be there this year. However, as things stand right now, we certainly intend to be back in the middle of things in 2017!
And this certainly doesn’t mean we’re going to be lazy over the next two weeks. Here’s what you can expect from us in terms of content on ESC 2016:
- Summaries of the rehearsals, including the personal views of our editors Felix and Shi on the visual and audio impressions from Globen and who the big winners and losers are so far.
- Our whole team’s thoughts and predictions about the qualifiers from the semi-finals and what we expect to happen in the grand final.
- Martin’s now-traditional betting blogs, with some useful tips and hints if you want to place a bit of money on the competition.
Our Twitter account will also be full of pics and fun insights as usual, as well as some of the best content carefully selected from our friends on other trusted fan sites, to help you see the forest from the trees.
So there will certainly be no shortage of things to read and enjoy here on escgo! over the next two weeks. We’re as excited for ESC 2016 as you are – bring it on!
